DOOR PAINTING & STAINING

You can paint or stain your door yourself if you want to spend several hours researching the supplies you’ll need and then a few more hours removing your door from the frame, sanding it down, and starting the prep process. If that doesn’t sound like something you want to do, call the experts at Pearson Paint Shop for a free consultation.

We will meet with you over email or phone to discuss the type of paint or stain you’re interested in using. Glossy and semi-gloss paints are usually best for doors as it sticks well to the surface and has a beautiful and clean presentation. After picking a paint or stain, we can schedule a date to start the work on our project. First, we will clean the door and sand it down. Doors suffer the most everyday wear and tear, so we pay special attention to the prep work to ensure a good foundation for the paint or stain.

When we apply a stain, we are careful to brush it on and wipe it off with regards to how dark you would like the stain to be. Applying a stain requires consideration to the length of time the stain will soak in, the consistency of the stain, and a good top coat to seal the stain. Our painters have great experience in the art of perfecting a beautiful wood stain and will do their best to ensure that you are happy with the finished product.
